 | | We really know how to celebrate |
If you think that Curaçao festivities begin and end at the beach,
think again. Our island has great festivals year round, celebrating
culture, food, music and more. Why not join in on the fun? There's no
better way to get to know Curaçao.
| | Calendar of Events
Curaçao has a full calendar of festivities that delight local residents as
well as visitors. Major holidays, such as Carnival and Christmas, spread a
decidedly festive atmosphere over the entire Island. Banks and other
businesses are decked out with streamers, balloons and other decorations
befitting the occasion. Expect beaches to be crowded on holidays and during
school vacations. Consult the listings from the following list to see if
your visit coincides with any other regular celebrations.

Te Land, ter Zee & in de
Lucht
“Te Land, ter Zee & in de Lucht” or as we say in English “On
Land, at Sea and in the Air” is an event were participants
construct there own “Soap box boat” and race down the slippery
slide to ring the bell which is placed in the water. Naturally
there are many prizes to win at this event. All of this will take
place on the beach of the Lions Dive & Beach Resort, were the
enthusiastic spectators can enjoy the show. At the close of this
spectacular day there will be a firework show for everyone to
enjoy. More information: Mrs. Gerry Adriaansen (+5999) 434-8888 or
